President Warren Uses Her Athletic Past to Guide the Future

С»ÆƬÊÓƵ President Beverly Warren shares her unique résumé, merging academics with athletics. Warren sat down with a Record-Courier reporter to discuss her humble start as a basketball and volleyball coach at the University of Montevallo and how the experience helped her develop an inclusive and collaborate leadership style at С»ÆƬÊÓƵ.

When asked about her plans for the athletic programs at С»ÆƬÊÓƵ, Warren talked about her desire to move toward a more competitive environment within the Mid-American Conference (MAC) and encourage a dynamically fun atmosphere that pulls students together at all С»ÆƬÊÓƵ athletic events.

Warren also discussed what she wants from each athletic program: to be competitive.

С»ÆƬÊÓƵ Board of Trustees Approves Establishing Aeronautics and Engineering Schools

The С»ÆƬÊÓƵ Board of Trustees approved the establishment of two new schools – the School of Aeronautics and the School of Engineering – within the College of Aeronautics and Engineering during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held June 25, 2025, on the Kent Campus.
