Young scientists from СƬƵ's Child Development Center (CDC) learned about how drones can assist in learning about natural environments at the Bioblitz event held at СƬƵ's Battaglia property.
Andrew Scholl, Ph.D., an assistant professor and director in СƬƵ's Department of Geography, showed Bioblitz attendees how to operate a drone and how drones can capture images with their built-in cameras. The areas explored during the Bioblitz event are familiar to the children at the CDC, as they regularly explore them as part of their nature education sessions with outdoor educator, Terri Cardy, M. Ed.
