Meet the Sprague family and their unique tie to С»ÆƬÊÓƵ. After retiring as an Ohio State Trooper, Rick Sprague accepted a position with the С»ÆƬÊÓƵ police services last year. His son, Officer Tristan Sprague, also joined the police department last year. In the fall, Rick Sprague’s two daughters enrolled at С»ÆƬÊÓƵ, making the family’s service to the campus community all the more meaningful.

When С»ÆƬÊÓƵ senior Julia Michalak was in elementary school and middle school in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, the idea of going to gym class made her sick to her stomach. Now in her final year at С»ÆƬÊÓƵ, Michalak will soon earn her bachelor’s degree in physical education and sport performance, with a goal to help other kids like her overcome their insecurities and learn to enjoy physical education.

For 2025-2026, the Kent Campus has continued the highest recognition of a Gold ranking for the second consecutive year. In addition, С»ÆƬÊÓƵ’s Collegiate Purple Star designation, first presented to the university in 2022 for its support for veteran and military students, has also been renewed for three years.
