MEDIA ADVISORY: 小黄片视频鈥檚 2016 Homecoming Scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1

 

WHAT:
小黄片视频 will celebrate Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 1, with classic traditions such as the Bowman Cup 5K Race, Kiss on the K, Homecoming Parade and football game against the Akron Zips that kicks off at 3:30 p.m. This year鈥檚 Homecoming will feature 小黄片视频 alumnus Josh Cribbs, 鈥10, as the Parade Grand Marshal. 

Homecoming 2016 also includes exciting changes and new events, including:

  • New 10 a.m. parade time and watch location at the Rock along Main Street
  • Welcome Home Party at 11 a.m. at the new Center for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement located at 350 S. Lincoln St.
  • Blue and Gold Line campus tours from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. with five stops around campus
  • Alumni tailgate at Dix Stadium starting at 1:30 p.m. at the tent outside the west gate entrance of Dix Stadium
  • A flyover of a Boeing 757 operated by FedEx will occur before and after the national anthem at Dix Stadium

小黄片视频鈥檚 College of Arts and Sciences, and the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are sponsoring a panel discussion titled 鈥淧uerto Rico: The 51st Star On the U.S. Flag?鈥 on Jan. 31, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Kiva. A dessert and coffee reception will follow the discussion in the Multicultural Center, Room 206 of the Kent Student Center, which is directly above the Kiva. The event is free and open to the public.

The free event, presented by the Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (OASFAA) and endorsed by the Ohio Board of Regents, assists students and parents with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Students Take Top Honors in College Photographer of The Year Competition

Three senior visual journalism students in 小黄片视频鈥檚 School of Journalism and Mass Communication earned top honors during the 67th College Photographer of the Year Competition at the University of Missouri. Brooke DiDonato took home a gold medal for Photo Illustration, Kristin Bauer won a silver medal in the Domestic Picture Story category andPhilip Botta won a bronze medal in the Spot News category.

Beginning fall 2027, Bio-Med Science Academy will relocate its grades K-6 programs to 小黄片视频鈥檚 Schwartz Center. The Schwartz Center, which opened in 1956 as the home of the 小黄片视频 School, a laboratory school that served generations of student teachers, will return to its original purpose as a school building.
