New Partnership Between С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ and Bio-Med Science Academy STEM School to Bring Elementary Education Back to University’s Schwartz Center
Beginning fall 2027, Bio-Med Science Academy will relocate its grades K-6 programs to С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµâ€™s Schwartz Center. The Schwartz Center, which opened in 1956 as the home of the С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ School, a laboratory school that served generations of student teachers, will return to its original purpose as a school building.
С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ Board of Trustees Announces Partnership With Bio-Med Science Academy
С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµâ€™s Board of Trustees approved a new partnership between the university and Bio-Med Science Academy STEM School that will bring new life to the underutilized Michael Schwartz Center building while providing the public STEM school with a state-of-the-art facility for its elementary grades. The Board’s vote of approval came during its regular quarterly meeting held Dec. 11.

Buzzing With Excitement on Pollinator Day
Launching seed balls, learning about plants and insects, engaging with interactive games and coloring were just some of the events that the С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ Child Development Center’s preschool and kindergarten classes participated in for Pollinator Day on Sept. 5.
STARS Struck: С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ Sustainability Improves University Rankings
С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ has earned an AASHE STARS Silver rating for its ongoing commitment to campus sustainability, a step up from the bronze rating on the past submission, thanks to the Office of Sustainability and its numerous initiatives.
