С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ held its annual Veterans Day Commemoration on Thursday, Nov. 7, in the Kent Student Center Kiva. This year’s guest speaker was Lt. Col. Colleen VanNatta. A graduate of С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµâ€™s Air Force ROTC detachment, VanNatta served as a media escort for joint information bureaus in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, during Operation Desert Storm.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, the С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ fight song blared down Main Street, the city of Kent was flooded with blue and gold, alumni and friends gathered and reminisced about their С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ days, fans packed the stadium to cheer on their beloved Golden Flashes and the entire campus boomed with С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ pride.

С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ will hold the 49th commemoration of the historic events of May 4, 1970, where protesting students, observers and soldiers gathered on that fateful day when the Ohio National Guard shot and killed four students and wounded nine others on the Kent Campus.
Mother-Daughter Duo Go Through С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ Geauga Nursing Program Together
Ronda McCaskey and Caitlyn Horvath are best friends who went through the nursing program together and graduated one year apart with Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees from С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ at Geauga. Now they are both intensive care nurses. But they also happen to be mother and daughter.
