The past few years have not been the easiest for students in the College of Nursing. Our students have been faced with challenges not seen for over a century. As nurses tend to do, these students adapted and worked hard to make the best of a difficult situation. Remote learning, abbreviated clinicals, virtual simulation time and many other challenges all presented real obstacles that made the already demanding curriculum that much more difficult. When documentary filmmaker and Media and Journalism alumnus Tom Jennings, ‘85, started his college education at С��Ƭ��Ƶ, he had no idea what to do for his future career. С��Ƭ��Ƶ Trumbull’s Undergraduate Student Government (USG) collected food and money to fill Thanksgiving bags for campus students and families in need. Tanner Noble (President), Ally Phibbs (Vice-President), Brianna Farmer (Treasurer), and Nadia Currence (Treasurer) coordinated the giveaway with help from Nancy Barker, Coordinator for Student Life/USG.  Each family received a frozen turkey and a bag with items such as potatoes, cranberry sauce, green beans, apple or pumpkin pie, cornbread, dinner rolls, apple sauce, and much more. С��Ƭ��Ƶ fell short to Northern Illinois in the Golden Flashes' bid for a Mid-American Conference Championship, which would have been their first conference title since 1972. The Huskies led 17-0 early in the second quarter and 24-10 at the end of the third quarter. Senior Quarterback Dustin Crum led an inspired second-half comeback, but Northern Illinois prevailed 41-23 in the Rocket Mortgage MAC Championship game played at Ford Field in Detroit.
