Paleontology Laboratories Collections (340)

Dr. Carrie Schweitzer manages the paleontology laboratories and collections of the Department of Earth Sciences. The Paleontology Collection is housed in McGilvrey Hall, Room 340. The collection consists of over 12,500 cataloged specimens, including a comparative collection of over 2,500 fossil decapod crustaceans. In addition, several hundred extant species of decapods, along with other invertebrates, are housed in the spirit collection.

Early- or mid-career architects and interior designers, educators, students, construction management professionals, healthcare administrators, healthcare providers, nurses, nurse managers, allied healthcare professionals, engineers, human factors experts, quality and safety experts, healthcare executives, or any individual interested in learning how the built environment plays a role in healthcare quality, safety, and experience.

Program Layout

FIRST YEAR

The first year focuses on laying a foundation for understanding design in its many formats while providing the liberal education required of a university education. The College of Architecture and Environmental Design and interior design courses taken during the freshman year provide a broad introduction to design culture and introduce the organizational principles and tools needed by designers to interpret and shape the built environment.
