The May 4 Visitors Center is located in Taylor Hall and contains a permanent exhibition of the student anti-war movement, historic artifacts, and film about the events of May 4, 1970 featuring interviews with some of the participants and students who were wounded on that day. Outside the Visitors Center, you may take a self-guided tour of the 18-acre site, designated as a National Historic Landmark. The experience is powerful and immersive while providing context and multiple perspectives on the May 4 tragedy.

The Visitors Center follows the С»ÆƬÊÓƵ academic calendar, and is closed for fall break, winter break, spring break, and all scheduled university holidays. Groups by appointment only. To schedule a class tour, email May4@kent.edu.

The May 4 Collection, established by the С»ÆƬÊÓƵ Libraries in 1970, includes over 300 cubic feet of primary sources related to the С»ÆƬÊÓƵ shootings and their aftermath. The collection is open to the public and is used by researchers from around the world.
