College of the Arts Networking Fair

The inaugural College of the Arts Networking Fair is designed for first-year students to discover essential university resources and connect with college student organizations that help build a sense of belonging and community. Hear from student organizations like The Element Magazine, Black Theatre Association, Vocal Intensity A Cappella and Modista Fashion Group, and campus resources like Career Exploration and Development (CED), Crisis, Advocacy, Resources, Education
and Support (CARES) and Student Accessibility Services (SAS).

Inside the AIDS Fight: Memoir of an Epidemiologist at the Pandemic Front Lines

Join the College of Public Health for a presentation about "Inside the AIDS Fight: Memoir of an Epidemiologist at the Pandemic Front Lines," with Harry W. Haverkos, M.D., physician with expertise in internal medicine and infectious diseases and author of the eponymous book.

Dr. Haverkos first encountered an AIDS patient in 1980, and by 1983, he challenged the prevailing belief that HIV alone caused AIDS, highlighting additional contributing factors.

  As part of KSU Kickoff, members of С��Ƭ��Ƶ's incoming Class of 2029 were invited to discover all that downtown Kent has to offer at Flashes First Friday on Aug. 15.   New Flashes got to experience the shops, services and fun of downtown Kent that they can enjoy as members of the community. With more than 26 years of experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to his new role.

Daniel Herstine, '99

Daniel Herstine, '99, North Canton, OH, has been named president of Hasenstab Architects. With more than 33 years in the profession and 26 years at Hasenstab Architects, Herstine has been an integral part of the firm’s growth and success, and he will lead the firm as it embarks on this new chapter. He specializes in healthcare design with a particular orientation toward behavioral healthcare.
