Planned Gift Endows Executive Director Position at С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµâ€™s Wick Poetry Center

The Wick family has a long history of philanthropy at С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ that began in 1984 when brothers Bob and Walt Wick first established scholarships to support undergraduate poets at the university. This most recent gift of $1 million brings the family’s total lifetime commitment to the university to more than $3.5 million.

С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ recognizes alumni who, through leadership, character and hard work, are making a difference. During Homecoming Weekend, 10 Golden Flashes were presented with Alumni Awards, and nine alumni received Lifetime Achievement recognitions from the university’s Black Alumni Chapter.

Philanthropic Gifts Prompt С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ Ashtabula Main Hall to Be Renamed After Longtime Dean Susan J. Stocker, Ph.D.

In recognition of the generosity and commitment of James E. Mayer Jr. and Glen and Nancy Warner for their gifts toward a $500,000 endowment, the С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ Board of Trustees approved on Sept. 20 naming the main building at С»ÆÆ¬ÊÓÆµ at Ashtabula as Susan J. Stocker Hall.
