What is Academic Integrity School? This program serves to address less severe academic integrity violations or those deemed unintentional. The instructor may request that the student attend a remedial, private session administered by the University Libraries.
Academic Integrity School is offered only to students who have not previously attended the program. It will be offered only if the instructor, the student, and a representative from University Libraries agree that the program would benefit the student. The instructor will determine whether and how the penalty (sanction) will be modified in favor of the student upon the student's completion of the program. The instructor will be notified by the University Libraries upon completion of Academic Integrity School by the student.

Academic Integrity School is a one-on-one session lasting about 45 minutes and serves as a means to reeducate and rehabilitate students who plagiarize. Upon completion, students can mitigate the penalty applied by the instructor. For example, the student may be given the opportunity to resubmit the corrected assignment instead of failing it. Academic Integrity School also affords students the opportunity to learn from their mistakes and feel better equipped to understand and avoid issues in the future.
